Women Power (Frauen Power) DR Congo – Our Coffee Project This is our 2nd women coffee project after Rwanda, and it is coming from Democratic Republic of Congo. The name of the project is called Women’s Peace Coffee. 1971-2021; 50 years since Swiss women battled their way into right to vote. With this coffee project, we hope to bring awareness not only to women voting rights but also to women rights in general. The Green beans come from Congolese ladies from North Kivu Region/ Kirindera washing station. Kirindera washing station is entirely managed by women, that’s why we would like to serve their coffee. Congolese women, thank you very much for your hard work and those delicious beans. And Swiss women, thank you for your fight to open up a new future for our kids. Women rock!

Women’s Peace Coffee:
“Because of the atrocities that have been committed and which continue to be committed in Eastern DR Congo. It’s so that by growing coffee women can say no to what is happening – and in particular by employing young people we can provide them with an alternative so that they are no longer drawn to join the armed groups that are destabilizing Virunga National Park. We want to see peace for everyone living in DR Congo, and above all for those living on the borders of the Virunga National Park.”
